GLOBAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

PRESENTATION

Educo (member of ChildFund Alliance) is a global development NGO. We defend children’s rights and promote sustainable social change by improving the living conditions of vulnerable populations, especially children. Our action is based on the Convention of the Rights of the Child. Our three institutional goals are: education, protection and governance.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS JOB?

The global Business Development manager will contribute to global EDUCO funding targets for our humanitarian and development programs, through the development and implementation of the global resource mobilization strategy addressing institutional donor and corporates.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIS

1. 1. Expanding global donor portfolio development with institutional and corporate donors.
2. Lead project proposal development processes, including building strategic consortia with a range of strategic internal and external stakeholders, across humanitarian aid and development sectors.
3. Oversee relevant activities related to grants management process
4. Represent EDUCO’s business development interests at relevant meetings, events, and conferences, including international travel
5. Strengthening the capacity of the in-country teams to acquire and implement increased sustainable grant funding.

REQUISITES

• Degree in development/social work or related discipline, postgraduate degree preferred. Other backgrounds will be considered if accompanied by adequate job experience.
• Fluent in English and Spanish – French (oral and written comprehension and speaking skills)
• Previous experience with EU (ECHO and DEVCO), UN agencies and big corporates.
• Experience in Child Protection and Education (in development and humanitarian aid) will be an asset
• Minimum two years field experience.
• Experience in managing international teams

REMUNERATION

Gross annual salary 40.000 €  (all extra payments included).

LOCATION

The position will be based in Barcelona with assignments on the field (around 20% of the time).

DURATION OF CONTRACT

The initial duration is expected to be 12 months and option to renew, with a probationary period.
