Action contre La Faim est une organisation humanitaire internationale, non-gouvernementale, privée, non-politique, non-confessionnelle et à but non lucratif. Action contre La Faim a été fondée en 1979 pour intervenir dans le monde entier. Sa mission est de lutter contre la faim, la misère et contre les situations dangereuses menaçant les hommes, les femmes et les enfants. Actuellement, 500 collaborateurs et plus de 5000 employés travaillent pour Action contre La Faim dans plus de quarante-six pays, et dans quatre domaines d’action: la santé / nutrition, la sécurité alimentaire et moyens d’existence, et l’eau/assainissement.

 

OBJECTIF GENERAL

Action Against Hunger – Spain has been setting a team of roving support and gap fillers for the Sahel region. This team can be mobilized for short-term deployments on all missions managed by Action Against Hunger Spain in Sahel (i.e. Mali, Niger, Mauritania and Senegal). Different types of support missions, in various interventions contexts and with diverse types of responsibilities could be arranged, according to the needs and priorities of the organization.

The position of NUT Flying Coordinator  will be dedicated (by priority order) to cover unfilled NUT key positions, to ensure temporary replacements of NUT key staff, to provide specific support to missions in the field of NUT and to contribute to build capacity of the NUT teams in place.

The line management of the NUT Flying Coordinator will depend on the position held during field deployment. Decision on deployments will be taken at headquarters level by the department of Operations in close collaboration with the Technical department. The NUT gap filler position will be under the functional management of the NUT technical department in Madrid. For each deployment in the field, specific Terms of Reference will be developed and approved jointly by headquarters and by the mission.

The NUT Coordinator Sahel filler will be deployed approx. 70 % of the time.

 

OBJECTIF SPÉCIFIQUES

  1. Short-term gap filling and replacement for FSL key positions
  • To promote an integrated and aligned with nutrition technical approach, articulated with cross-cutting issues (e.g. gender, resilience, protection…)
  • To make sure that projects or programs implemented and/or designed by Action Against Hunger are relevant to populations’ needs and in line with Action Against Hunger mission strategy and/or donors´ rules
  • To lead and participate as requested in the process of proposal development
  • To ensure technical quality of Action Against Hunger interventions
  • To guarantee the proper use of Action Against Hunger management tools
  • To respect Action Against Hunger procedures
  • To ensure proper monitoring, reporting and efficient information sharing
  • To maintain or establish appropriate internal and external coordination mechanisms
  • To represent Action Against Hunger when requested to do so
  • Being proactive in the identification of problems and in solving problems
  1. Writing handover reports
  • Providing support to missions of proposal development.
  • Providing support to missions for capitalization
  • Providing support to missions for the definition of tools and methodologies
  • Providing support to missions for preparing or conducting needs assessments and evaluations
  • To participate in the dissemination of Action Against Hunger tools, guides and policies at field level
  • To contribute to promote new approaches and integrating innovative aspects in the FSL areas of work
  • Temporary FSL technical support (whenever no need of Gap filler in any other Sahel mission)
  1. Coaching and support of FSL teams
  • Participating in the capacity building of FSL teams on the use of Action Against Hunger management tools
  • Participating in the coaching and companionship of FSL key staff (i.e. new staff or key staff taking over additional responsibilities)
  • Participating in improving Action Against Hunger strategy in Sahel for encouraging staff mobility and improving staff retention

PROFIL DU CANDIDAT

  • Agronomist, economist or other university degree in a relevant subject
  • Minimum of 3 years of field experience with NGOs in management positions
  • Strong knowledge in FSL project management, project design and project monitoring (cash based-interventions, nutrition sensitive interventions, agriculture…)
  • Strong skills in leadership, planning, communication, autonomy and flexibility
  • Experience in Training of Trainers is a plus
  • Geographical mobility
  • French (fluent for writing and speaking), English (good level of writing), Spanish est un plus
  • Based in Sahel region. Estimated 70% deployment in missions.

 

RÉMUNÉRATION GLOBALE

Nous proposons une incorporation immédiate à un Organisme dynamique d’envergure international incluant les conditions contractuelles suivantes :

  • Contrat de travail.
  • Durée: 6 mois.
  • Base : région Sahel.
  • Salaire de 1700€ à 2200€ bruts par mois en fonction de l’expérience professionnelle et des responsabilités. Le système de rémunération d’Action contre La Faim – Espagne permet une projection annuelle en fonction des résultats de l’évaluation de son implication professionnelle.
  • Jusqu’à 20% additionnel en fonction du contexte et responsabilité du poste (selon barème fixé par Action contre La Faim).
  • Logement et nourriture pris en charge par l’organisation (incluant per diem) : package valorisé, selon le lieu de destination.
  • Les frais de transport jusqu’à la mission.
  • Breaks d’une semaine avec frais de transport vers la zone de référence et un extra de 215€ pour la semaine.
  • 25 jours ouvrables de vacances par an.
  • Assurance de rapatriement, accident et voyage et vie.
