Christian Aid is seeking a Program Funding Officer to help to raise the institutional funds necessary to develop our programs.

About the role

The roles’ main focus is to support the work of Christian Aid in raising and managing restricted institutional income, ensuring compliance with donors’ requirements and promoting positive engagement with donors to achieve transformational growth by increased impact, scale and leverage. Geographically the focus of your work will prioritize Central America and the Latin American region. However, it might be times that you need to support other programs in other geographical regions.

Principales obligaciones

It’s essential that you have experience of preparing reports and proposals for donors such as the EC, ECHO, UN, AECID or USAID.   We’ll expect you to demonstrate a proven success at securing funds as well as experience of narrative and financial reporting. Your background will have given you a real understanding of development issues. On top of your excellent communication and presentation skills, you’ll be highly numerate and have a real analytical ability. Additionally, the role will contribute to the representation and brand of Christian Aid to engage with others and promote communications and fundraising, including institutional donors. In order to do that and to engage with the wider Christian Aid you will need an excellent level of English and Spanish. Other languages such as French will be considered.

1.- Tell us about a time when you had to build and maintain relationships with others in order to secure significant income that will help to reach the goals of your organization.

2.-Tell us about a time when you were able to set up an institutional funding programme to deliver outcomes on time and within budget

3.-Tell us about a time when you had to communicate a complex issue to a donor in writing and convince them that your way to approach the issue was the best way to achieve common objectives.
